Wow Clement! This really puts things into perspective. I have always had the impression that consulting required a lot of time investment but apart from that, the handsome pay and the other perks were worth it.

As an upcoming SDE, I am yet to truly experience corporate life and this post is pretty insightful. "Don't be yourself" hit hard. You took the hard and brave decision. Kudos for that!
