This is very true. Curation has had almost no effect on the views of my articles.

Getting published in a big publication won't guarantee views either.

In fact my best performing article of all time was neither published in a big publication nor curated.

Curation is overrated and don't write something with the the focus on getting published in a huge publication or curation.

Write because you want to write.
