This is absolutely true! I can relate so much with most of what you have said.

When you try to please people, you place the remote control of your happiness in other's hands. Your happiness should be in your control not others.

Society expects and wants us to conform. This pressure often leads to people playing a role, to conform to society. Just because it is so rare nowadays, is authenticity such a valued trait in people.
