This is absolutely true. The main benefit of a MBA is the networking aspect of it but as you said. there are a lot of other ways to put yourself out there.

Increasingly degrees are becoming irrelevant. I am a CS undergrad and most tech giants don't have degrees mandatory to work for them, Google being one of the notable ones.

We are moving into a world that values skills over degrees.
