This deserves to be put up in a hall of fame of the truest statements ever. I have seen this repeat in my life over and over that by this point, if I have expectations, I am convinced that they won't be realized. But then since I "know" my expectations wouldn't be met, would they actually be met? It soon becomes a loop.
