Science has its place and function. I haven't demonized it. Much of "pop spirituality" is utter B.S. and the real stuff is obscure and little known.

Given how "scientific" your current mental preference seems, all the more reason to read The Eye Of The I (or any of David Hawkins' books, Power Vs. Force is a great place to start as well)...

David Hawkins was an M.D PhD, a clinical Psychiatrist who had deep spiritual experiences - maybe his lens will genuinely help dispel much of your antipathy towards spirituality.

By area of a curve, I meant area UNDER a curve, not sure if you'd be familiar with that, without a deeper math background.

Also, deeper Reality is fully Subjective - how "objective" are anger, love, heartbreak, inner peace, feelings, epiphanies, and the whole complexly beautiful reality of human experience? This was a shocker to me too when I first encountered and understood Prof. David Hawkins' work - it bridged the gap between science and spirituality in a "scientific" way for me...

I've read a lot of Aurelius in the past - Nietzsche, Aristotle, and much of the whole philosophy-self-help shebang...

Was FAR more of a spiritual-skeptic than you're now.

Everyone has their spiritual awakening when the time is right and ripe. All I recommend is keeping and maintaining an open mind Harshna. Reason/logic are great to dispel ignorance - but they themselves can be obstacles to transcending them towards subtler Truths.

Maybe my earlier responses were more egotic and "debate-inducing", but if I may convey my genuine intent here, please check out Prof. David Hawkins' work - it'll serve you deeply. Take care and cheers!
