Really glad someone finally said it. Finding yourself has been romanticized in today's society primarily to promote tourism I suspect.

You don't find yourself but rather build yourself. Your character and personality WILL change and they have to. As humans, change is the only constant in our lives.

Also there are multiple ways to become more open minded.

In fact becoming open minded is a mindset change before any knowledge accrual can happen.

You can travel every city in the world and not acquire a wider perspective and not travel anywhere and acquire a wide perspective.
