Let me try the kindness angle here.

When a New Life is involved, it's no longer what a woman does with "her body" - there's a new life in the equation.

This doesn't mean someone else "should" legislate the decision - but there needs to be a nuanced midground for such decisions...

Especially for (or against) abortion, I believe it should be a case-by-case decision - we sadly don't have enough judicial power, privacy, or resources for such a thing though.
