That’s the closest I can get to describing deep meditation in words.

Not the sham “Sit with your eyes closed for 2 minutes” meditation trumpeted by success “gurus.” We’re talking deep meditation with a capital ‘D.’

Deep meditation is a tunnel into Turiya or pure consciousness itself! A state 99% of us never (bother to) unlock. We pass our lives in the 3 lower states:

  1. Jagrath (Wakefulness) — the state of walking, talking, complaining, and comparing.
  2. Svapna (Dreaming) — be it nostalgic reflection, daily reveries, or dreamy fantasies.
  3. Sushupti (Deep sleep) — the default of deep sleepers that anxious light sleepers envy.
