The hormonal and stress-reduction benefits of cold showers more than compensate for it.
Also, the inflammation reduction will boost recovery, thereby letting you workout harder too.
All in all, cold showers are a net positive. If you still don't want to take them, a quick 1-min cold shower as you said or washing your face will be enough
