KPop and Kdrama has definitely upended this now. Here in India, there isn't a dearth of girls drooling over their KPop Idols.

Amazing article nevertheless, and I can relate a bit to this as an Indian.

Globally, this same effect plays on Indians as well - Indian women are "exotic" and highly desirable but the men are reduced to (usually) clumsy software devs or clueless men bad with women.

While I've never been abroad in my adult life to see this in action, I've heard about this quite a bit.

Thankfully, in some countries, good-looking Indian men are also viewed as exotic or so I hear. Only traveling abroad will tell
