It's not solving real problems?

I'd disagree. There are TONS of applications already developed and new usecases coming out every single day.

These "generic LLMs" are able to diagnose 1 in 100000 cases, aid the blind, and solve many more real life problems.

Coming to porn, ethically sourced or not, is destructive - multiple studies and anecdotes point to the fact that it's pure poison for the brain, especially for men.

Netflix, Instagram and all leach your dopamine levels and reduce motivation/energy to tackle real-world problems.

Sure, in controlled moderation they might be "ok" but they are designed to be addictive.

Even 1 hour of using ChatGPT definitely beats 15 minutes of Netflix, porn, or other general "timepass" tools.

Coming to your point of caution, yes I agree, caution needs to be exercised and overdependence can be a thing.

The AI revolution is underway - whether we choose to admit to it or not. Might as well be on the winning side
