It blows my mind that many arranged-marriage couples meet only once - or a handful of times...

I cannot imagine knowing someone well enough to form a solid opinion of them - forget knowing them well enough to decide if I'll spend (ideally) the rest of my life with them...

Even in relationships, this decision is so hard to make. I'd love to know what I'm missing here - because many arranged marriages DO work very well - luck, plain exceptions, or something else at play?
