I don't think Threads can (or should) replace Twitter.

The biggest turn off for me was linking it to Instagram - the most vanity platform around right now.

Threads users are likely going to be mostly Instagram-first users - there goes the intellectual, informational, and educational quality.

Of course Twitter has its problems - but it's been the king of micro-blogging for so long for a reason
