I can only recall one instance in life where I “mistimed” a kiss - an almost imperceptible move-away of the head as I leaned in. The moment I spotted it I retracted my head.

There’s nothing wrong with going in for a kiss and pulling back the moment you realise she’s not wanting it.

I reckon it’ll get you FAR more respect and admiration than never making the move to start with.

In the beginning you might have some false starts and awkwardness but you’ll get better at gauging the signs and tension.
