Many men (including me) care about how many people the women they date have been with - not to “compare” but because virginity (especially for women) has always been treated as sacred throughout history.

Of course, in today’s world of casual sex and degeneracy, true virgins are almost unicorns but there is a “number” post which it gets uncomfortable to even consider.

The world, our biologies, and society are designed in a way where it’s WAY easier for a woman to get and have sex than it is for a man - so a woman who hasn’t slept around as much shows restraint, modesty, self worth, and that she sees sex as special and not something to be given away to every Tom dick and harry.

If she was young and taken advantage of that’s a different thing - but deliberately sleeping with many many men? A red flag and point of discomfort for most men.

This isn’t about wrong or right but pure personal preference - just like how a woman would want a man who’s six feet tall, nothing wrong in a man wanting a woman with a body count less than 3.
